Award of Appreciation
Established in April 1988, the Award of Appreciation is presented by the Board of Governors to that individual(s) who is not a member of the Bar in recognition of outstanding service toward the creation of a better public understanding of the legal profession and the administration of justice, the judiciary or the legislative process.
2024 Recipient
Gabe Goltz is a proud native of Phoenix and is currently a Program Manager in the Education Services Division of the Arizona Administrative Office of the Courts. Having joined this organization in 2005 focusing on leadership development, he has since expanded his responsibilities to include the administration of Arizona judicial and staff training, leading a team of six. Gabe presents on topics including bias, leadership, procedural justice, law and literature, and law and film. He has presented sessions to audiences locally and nationally, including to the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the National Association of State Judicial Educators, the State Bar of Arizona, and the Arizona Justice of the Peace Association. Gabe is also a nationally certified instructor for the Institute of Court Management’s “Purposes and Responsibilities of Courts” program. In 2017 he was the co-recipient of the National Association of Bar Executives’ “Community and Educational Outreach Award.” Before joining the courts, Gabe worked in the Graduate College at Arizona State University, coordinating graduate program administration and development. He has a B.A. in Political Science from Northern Arizona University and an M.A., also in Political Science, from the University of Colorado—Boulder. |
